You don't need wings to take flight: Military Inspired

After taking a trip to the thrift store and leaving with a vintage military/aviation jacket from 1944 I was inspired  to share some cool Amelia Earhart inspired photos with you all. The photos were shot by Giuliano Beko for Marie Claire magazine.

The actual military jacket has some interesting and possibly controversial history behind it, however It was too fancy and durable to resist!

I've also posted the type of wool field jacket that I found but this is not the exact one, I will post a picture of my actual find sometime soon. The one that I purchased has patches etc.
I've still been doing some research on the jackets insignia(patchwork) because I dont want to unknowingly walk around supporting Hitler, etc.

Jacket, Field, Wool, OD (November 13, 1945): the Ike Jacket, worn by T/5 Crote Carson, 23, Paratrooper and Ground Soldier from Appomattox, VA
